Manage the administrative functions and fiscal affairs of numerous awards and serves as advisor to Principal Investigators (PI) for financial and non-financial management of their awards. Independently resolve administrative procedural problems in all research categories including matters of compliance. The Hadden Lab in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to participate in an NSF-funded project applying molecular dynamics simulations to characterize super-fluorescent viromimetic particles derived from plant virus capsids. These particles exhibit interesting optical properties and have potential for high signal-to-noise biomedical imaging applications. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with the PI and experimental collaborators who specialize in the chemistry and physics of these viromimetic particles to design computational approaches to explain the role of the capsid scaffold in promoting super-fluorescent emissions.
